This trek is perfect for people who would like to explore the Nam Ha protected area of Laos in a single day. You will be able to experience the beautiful scenery, be immersed in the diverse jungle ecosystem and benefit from an expert local guide. 

 

The trek starts on easy terrain for the first hour and after that you will begin climbing a steep hill for about 30 minutes. When you reach the top of the hill, you will have a delicious local lunch with your guides, which you have picked up at the Into the Wild office on your way to the trek.

                                                 

The last two hours of trekking you will gradually descend. On the way you can make stops to enjoy the beautiful views. During the trek you will be able to see different kinds of fruits, insects, plants and beehives. If you are lucky you might even encounter some bigger animals.

The trek will end around 4:00/5:00 pm and on the way back the tuk tuk will stop at a small Khmu village, where the local guide is from. It is a nice idea to bring some school supplies (paper, pens, etc.) and books for the village children.

 

What to bring?

Hat banana, sunscreen, extra set of clothes and shoes in case you get wet, mosquito repellent, warm clothes for the evening (Nov-Mar) women need a sarong for bathing, towel, rain jacket (if wet season), flashlight, money to buy  handicrafts and extra drinks.
